I have a question

If bloggers are inconsequential, little, partisan pip-squeaks prattling on with their keyboards, then why are governments worldwide, including ours, freaking out over them? And those "journalists" who use the internet to criticize bloggers create their own blogs to do so? Doesn't that put them in the same realm?

Yep, lots of hypocrisy to go around. Anyone who busts on bloggers, whether it is an MSM anchor or an editor for the NYT, it is very likely that they have their own blogs.

AP, it should be really simple... they are absolutely terrified of blogs and will start passing all kinds of laws to control and corral us.

They are afraid. They are very, very afraid. And with good cause.

Does this have anything to do with the UN trying to grab control of the Internet? 'Cause I've been wondering why people don't seem more concerned about the fact that IRAN and CHINA are spear-heading this project. One would think that people would be more suspicious of such control-freak countries trying to take control of international freedom of speech. And if the measure passes, the US had better boot the UN off our soil.

I think MSM & governments biggest problem with blogs is that no matter how much they try to control it... THEY CAN'T. You can pass laws out the wazoo, but they will be hard to enforce. Nyah nyah! :p~

They can have my keyboard when they pry it from my cold, dead, Cheeto-stained fingers.
